Dr. Stefano Trunzo, DC

Dr. Stefano Trunzo

Dr. Trunzo completed his Doctorate of Chiropractic at Northwestern Health Sciences University in April of 2017.  He acquired various techniques in diversified adjusting to the spine and extremities, athletic taping procedures, and treatment of complex cases.

In addition, Dr. Trunzo has completed his Active Release Techniques (ART) certification, a specialized therapy that focuses on soft tissue.  When muscles and connective tissues are injured, dense collections of scar tissue called adhesions can develop in the body, resulting in pain and stiffness.

ART is an effective treatment for a variety of conditions and injuries and can be applied to both acute and chronic conditions involving the muscles, tendons, ligaments, nerves and fascia.  The goal of ART is to relieve tension by breaking up scar tissue and adhesions in order to release entrapped nerves and restore blood flow.  This increases healing in the area and optimizes function in the body, improving range of motion and flexibility.

Outside of work, Dr. Trunzo enjoys going to the gym, playing soccer, and going on numerous hikes throughout the summer.
